RHS Council

Mark was elected to serve as a Member of Council of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in July 2012 for a 5 year term, having previously been a co-opted member of the Commercial Board. In addition to his role on Council he acts as an external advisor to the RHS on IT and Management Consultancy matters, having worked in those industries for over 30 years.

National Garden Scheme

Mark is County Organiser (ACO) for the Hampshire group of gardens open to the public under the National Garden Scheme, and has been responsible for the production of the 2013 Hampshire County booklet. This guide details all the gardens opening under the NGS scheme in 2013, and is distributed widely across the county to libraries, garden centres, tourist information centres and other organisations.

Valley Gardeners

Valley Gardeners is a thriving garden club based in and around the Itchen Valley.  With a growing membership of over 80, the club meets every second Tuesday of the month, either in the Itchen Abbas and Avington Village Hall or on a garden visit.
